Let me just start by saying, I usually don’t leave reviews on google no matter my experience. However THIS office definitely deserves a 10 star rating. They truly take the time and dedicate to making you feel most comfortable. I am 21 weeks pregnant and my teeth haven’t been the best for a long time. Having a abscess tooth over 5 years untreated & so much decay all over from eating so many sweets and candy over the years and not making regular visits to the dentist really ruined my teeth. I began to be in pain July 5th 2022 from cavities being exposed to the nerve. I have never been in so much pain, so uncomfortable & unable to eat. At this point I’m a emotional wreck because I’m pregnant and I’m STARVING. I had been referred to a oral surgeon and was quoted $1900. There was no way I could afford that I’m such a tight spot I started searching online for other oral surgeons that accepts CareCredit. No one I called had availability to see me asap. Then I found OSSA and from the first time I called the receptionist was so understanding and kind. The Dr told me that I could come in the very next day at 8:30am they took such great care of me. They made sure I was comfortable. I saw Dr.Aiken and he was more than amazing. After my first extraction my other decaying teeth started to bother me like a domino effect. Thankfully Dr.Aiken followed up with me shortly after the first surgery And I was able to voice my concern about another tooth that had started hurting. He did not hesitate to get me on the schedule for the very next day. Now this is the part that really takes this place to the TOP 10. I had one last tooth that began to abscess 2 days ago I was in the worst pain of all. I couldn’t sleep, pain meds weren’t working anymore. I texted Dr.Aiken feeling terrible with this last tooth my gums were inflamed & throbbing. Even on his vacation he responded to me and said “he is out of the country but his partner Dr.Shessel was in the office and would be more than happy to see me if he has time & to call the office” Dr.Shessel was just as amazing. He and his assistant Mrs.Sharon took their time with me because I was in so much pain. I can not thank you all enough for all you’ve done. I feel so much better already. 1000 Stars

Happy Patient

I drove THREE HOURS for a wisdom tooth extraction. Why? Because I found an office that offered great COVID protocols and did not make me feel weird or pushy for asking the necessary questions to safeguard my health and that of my family. Kirstina, the office coordinator, was very kind and patient as we discussed my concerns over the phone. It is because of her willingness to share information and accommodate, as well as the multiple rave reviews for both surgeons, that I scheduled the dreaded appointment. Dr. Aiken and Michael, his assistant, wore N95 masks, and Michael was very thorough sanitizing items before and after I used them. I felt safe. Another reason I drove three hours was because Kirstina was so understanding that she was able to find a unique opportunity for me to have a consultation and extraction on the same day without having to travel back and forth. On a Monday morning, I arrived and less than two hours later, I was out. Finally, the procedure was quick and pretty much painless. Michael was patient with me as he pleasantly guided my appointment from the initial X-ray to the surgery chair. He answered all my questions, was very accommodating, and kept me at ease with his warm personality .Dr. Aiken was great. He compassionately talked me through the procedure and offered encouraging words as he performed his work. Immediately after he pulled the tooth out, I gave him a fist pound because I was so impressed. I was given my care instructions and was able to drive back home (my tooth didn’t require any cutting or sedation). I had minimal discomfort. Michael and Carlos were helpful when I called with follow-up questions (remember, I received a lot of info in one day). Dr. Aiken text me over the weekend to check on me. I am so grateful for a kind, compassionate, and safe oral surgeon and staff. I would send my child and mother here. Thank you, Kristina, Dr. Aiken, Michael, and Carlos for being so kind and so great at what you do!

I just want to thank Lifeline (Martha Lagrone), my power of attorney (Bernie Dawson), Dr. Aiken and Dr. Aiken's very awesome staff; especially Carlos and Kristina, for the exceptional care and professional services that I received today. My rotten/broken tooth has caused me severe physical pain and emotional embarrassment for over 2 years. Because of you, my mouth is on the road to recovery. I am not accustomed to being away from my service dog Tyler nor am I accustomed to being out in public during this current pandemic nor do I usually drive. Being autistic, I'm shy and feel awkward around people not to mention that dentists make me very nervous. I did not know what to expect when I arrived at your office today and just want to say thank you. I could not have received better care and am very grateful to all of you for making this opportunity possible for me. So again, thank you Ms. Lagrone for pairing me with such an awesome oral surgery team. Dr. Aiken, thank you and your staff for being soo very accepting, kind and professional with me. Mr. Dawson, thank you for being my power of attorney always stopping your busy schedule to answer my numerous questions and to help me to coordinate care and services. I had four wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Shessel. He is top notch. During the consultation he expressed a genuine interest, even regarding a non oral medical issue I brought up. He also took an approach to lay out information, options, and recommendations, without pushing. Carlos was great during consultation, and day of removal. They are thorough in post-op care, with information, prescriptions, or anything else you will need. I had a good experience with everyone in the office during consult, and then on day of procedure.

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THE WORLD'S GENUINE EXPERT IN THE FIELD PLEASE READ MY STORY: If I could I'd give Dr. Aiken not 5 stars but 10! Dr. Aiken saved my life. He is God's gift to the world. I think He should be cloned and placed everywhere. I recently moved from Europe and I had such a hard time to find a Doctor that I can trust. I prayed to God every single night to find a Doctor who is going to fix my problem. I came accross Dr. Aiken's website. As soon as I've seen His picture something inside of me told He is the right one. So, at the same moment, I called His office and scheduled an appointment. I was driving one hour to get there. Front desk lady was very welcoming in this pandemic crisis. She took my temperature and the office was very clean. Everyone wears mask and practices proper sanitation. His assistant Carlos is absolutely amazing, good hearted, kind, warm, friendly, informative and super caring person. They are the best team and I would say perfect dynamic duo! As someone with anxiety when it comes to doctors they handled my nerves very well, answered all of my questions very clearly, patiently and made me feel comfortable and ease. When I saw Dr. Aiken I knew I was in good hands. I told Him I am here because I know You're the only one who can help me. He looked into my x- rays, explained me everything. I was crying, He handed me a tissue and than made me laugh. I had operation scheduled on Friday. My surgery was incredibly painless. It was so well done that I didn't even need to take prescription pain medication. I had no swelling, no pain. And today it's healed up quite nicely. He really performed a miracle. After surgery He provided me with His emergency phone number and His own video with post surgery instructions. Next day on Saturday He called me to follow up with me. Also, He gave me his personal phone number and sent text back every time when I asked questions! Prices are very fair and worth it, but I think He deserves a lot more! I expected that someone is going to ask me to leave a review on google like some other places. That has never happened! I can assure you that all these reviews are honest, not paid and coming from impressed people. Dr. Aiken I really appreciate You... God bless You! I definitely recommend this place to my friends and everyone!

DR. Shessel and his assistant I believe his name was Michael they was fantastic! Super friendly! I was in alot of pain today and couldn't find anyone who could see me that day and help me with all that pain! That was until we called Oral Surgery specialists of Atl they seen me same day was able to do my surgery same day they even stayed open late to fit me in! Wonderful experience! Even the lady answering the phone was sweet as could be! If your looking for a good oral surgeon then look no further call them today!

After going through three other places with lots of frustration and disappointments, I found THE place here. I was able to get an appointment very quickly and the surgery (wisdom teeth extraction) was done the next day. The staff was very friendly, accommodating and highly professional, especially Michael. He made sure I was comfortable and relaxed and showed that he cares about his patient. Dr. Aiken is just wonderful, delightful and thorough with great expertise. I didn’t experience much pain at all with the post surgery solution he recommended and I’m on a speedy recovery now. If you are looking for an oral surgeon’s office where you will be treated with respect, care and expertise, this is the place. Their price is very reasonable, too. I saved a lot of money even without using my dental insurance. Thumbs up for Dr. Aiken and his staff!

This place is really better than 5 stars but that's all we are allowed to give. I called to schedule a consultation and was able to be seen within a couple of days. When I went in, they already had all of my insurance information verified and all of my health information since I completed that online at home. I think that is a great thing because it shortens the amount of time waiting there.
